Chelsea continued their impressive form in the Premier League with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday. The win marked Chelsea's fourth consecutive league triumph, their best run since October 2022.
Kai Havertz put the visitors ahead in the 48th minute with a clinical finish, but Brighton equalized just 10 minutes later through Leandro Trossard. However, a late goal from Reece James sealed the win for Chelsea in the 89th minute.
The victory moved Chelsea up to sixth place in the standings, just one point behind fourth-placed Manchester United. Brighton, meanwhile, remain in eighth place, but they have now lost four of their last five Premier League games.
