Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics

May 6, 2008

Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics was a thrilling contest that ended with a 97-92 victory for the Celtics. The Celtics took an early lead and never looked back, despite a valiant effort from the Cavaliers in the second half.

Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 21 points, 45 rebounds, and 63 assists. He was a force on both ends of the court, and his leadership was key in the Celtics' victory. Kevin Garnett also had a strong game, scoring 20 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

The Cavaliers were led by LeBron James, who scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. James was a constant threat to score, but he could not get enough help from his teammates. Mo Williams added 18 points, but he was the only other Cavaliers player to score in double figures.

The Celtics now lead the series 3-2 and will have a chance to close it out in Game 7 in Cleveland on Wednesday night. The Cavaliers will need to play much better if they want to avoid elimination.
