Erling Haaland Hits Four As Manchester City Power Past Wolves

Erling Haaland hits four as Manchester City power past Wolves

Guardiola's side remain top of the Premier League after crushing win at the Etihad

Erling Haaland was in lethal form as Manchester City thrashed Wolves 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. The Norwegian striker scored four goals to take his season's Premier League tally to 25, while Kevin De Bruyne was also on target for the hosts.

Haaland fed to the Beast

Haaland was back in the starting XI after missing the midweek win over Arsenal with a knock. And he showed no signs of rustiness as he terrorized the Wolves defense from the first whistle.

The 22-year-old opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a clinical finish from close range. He then doubled his tally just four minutes later with a powerful header from a De Bruyne cross.

Haaland completed his hat-trick in the 32nd minute with another close-range finish. And he put the icing on the cake with a fourth goal in the 60th minute, taking his tally for the season to 31 in all competitions.

De Bruyne was also in fine form for City, providing two assists for Haaland's goals. The Belgian midfielder also scored a goal of his own in the second half, curling a magnificent free-kick into the top corner.

The win keeps City top of the Premier League table, five points clear of Arsenal. Wolves, meanwhile, remain 15th, just two points above the relegation zone.

Conclusion: Haaland's four-goal haul was a reminder of his incredible goalscoring prowess. The Norwegian striker is now the Premier League's top scorer, and he is on course to break all sorts of records this season. City will be hoping that Haaland can continue his goalscoring form as they look to retain their league title and win the Champions League for the first time.
